Tuscany paradise for bikers!

I’ve been lucky enough to pedal through most of Tuscany. I have pedaled along the long and scenic Via Francigena, the challenging and beautiful open road of Lucca, the narrow and winding streets of Pisa, I have taken a dip in the past by riding the route of the cyclostorica l’ardita.

Tuscany is a truly incredible place. The hills are steep and the valleys are lush with olive groves and vineyards. The towns are picturesque and beautiful, with buildings that carefully blend architecture from all over Europe into one harmonious whole. Bike paths are scattered throughout the region, making for a wonderful mix of trails.

Biking in Tuscany is a great way to see the countryside and experience the beauty of the Italian landscape by bike. With over 300 miles of bike paths and 120 miles of marked bike lanes, it’s easy to ride as much of Tuscany as you want. Here are some of my favorites:

just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking (Conan Doyle)

Tuscany Bike Hotels

there are not many hotels that give a service to cyclists, in my travels I have stayed in these facilities that I can recommend :

  1. Bike Hotel Massa Vecchia
  2. Resort Cabalbio
  3. Hotel Terre Rosse
  4. Hotel Continentale Arezzo
  5. Sant’egle
